Sales & Contribution
Drive all-India Sales and Marketing activities through the Sales team and dealer-distributor network to achieve budgeted levels of sales and contribution.
Prepare and plan periodic visits to key customers together with concerned sales person to keep in touch with customer needs, resolve their issues and to also ensure a steady order load.
Oversee forecasting and planning of order load and product mix to achieve desired levels of Plant load and capacity utilization.
Formulate and implement product pricing policies based on market feedback for continuous improvement of the average realization of finished product and increase in market share
Oversee, approve and monitor monthly Sales plans to be executed by the Sales team so as to achieve targets by product category, by distributor, by territory/customer based on the Annual budget.
Monitor and review sales performance of the team each month based on goals and targets set for them and take necessary actions to plug performance gaps.
Oversee and provide support to the operations.
Monitor order execution right from the initial yarn purchase stage to final Inspection and dispatch stage to ensure timely deliveries as per customer requirements.
Formulate and set guidelines for prioritizing production schedule based on customers priorities, availability of raw materials and optimum utilization of machines.
Monitor and control operational costs including process wastage costs.
Ensure that publicity and promotion costs, cost of returned goods, incentives, costs arising out of dealer claims, packing and other costs are controlled within budgeted limits.
Monitor and manage inventory within targeted norms for each quality/SKU and maintain Working capital as per budgeted norms.
Monitor and manage debtors within budgeted guidelines and follow up payment from clients through sales team.
Expand dealer network through appointment of new dealers/distributors in under-represented and high potential areas.
Evaluate activity levels of dealers of competing brands with a view to convert the better performing ones to own brand.
Monitor and evaluate performance of dealers in terms of sales, order booking, payments to ensure month to month performance is as per plans.
Provide support to dealers in their sales and promotion activities through suitable Promotion and Incentive schemes.
Track industry and economic trends, both domestic and global to evaluate business potential and commission feasibility studies for business expansion/diversification plans and present recommendations for evaluation by top management.
Conduct Business Development activities through:
Identification and appointment of new dealers in existing markets
Identification and appointment of new dealers in new markets.
Evaluate gaps in the Business Units ability to deliver in terms of resources such as manpower, machinery, facilities and prepare feasibility and action plans to acquire the same so bridge these gaps and achieve the budgeted business goals
Customer Relations Management
Monitor and improve Customer Satisfaction through implementation of appropriate systems.
Ensure early resolution of customer complaints arising out of Quality and Commercial issues
Plan and monitor sales promotion and brand building activities such as in-shop branding, POP materials, glow signs, dealer meets, participation in exhibitions and road shows and assess resulting impact on sales.
Provide guidance to Development department on new designs/concepts and construction based on changing customer preferences, market and fashion trends, competitor activity and changes in technology.
Oversee and drive the Development function to continuously introduce and launch new designs, fabrics and finishes to reinforce brand presence in the market and increase sales.
Continuously identify processes and functions where quality, cycle time, costs, throughput, productivity and customer satisfaction can be improved and decision-making and problem solving can be made more effective through design and implementation of better systems and procedures.
Oversee the development and updating detailed costing database for each element of the product covering raw materials, labour, manufacturing costs, etc., in addition to sales and distribution costs to help in taking informed product / market related decisions.
Oversee the collection and interpretation of market intelligence on competitor activities, customer buying behavior, product development trends through networking and field visits so that Sales and Marketing policies are in tune with changing market conditions.
Keep up to date on latest developments in design software, manufacturing technology and finishing processes that may impact the companys competitiveness in the market.
Oversee collection of raw market data such as selling and stocking trends of distributors handling competitor products.
Plan and assess manpower requirements in key positions in Marketing, Manufacturing, Development, Purchase and other related support functions and fill the gaps to ensure successful execution of the business plan for the year.
Uphold and practice the corporate values and promote them amongst all peers and subordinates to ensure their commitment and alignment to the Siyaram Core Values.
Motivate, support and train subordinates and give them effective performance related feedback to help develop their skills.
Identify and groom a second line of command for smooth succession planning
